Toronto is well known for
its animal residents. This is where kids and adults become one and
the same. Located in the forested region of northeast Toronto, the Toronto
Zoo is home to more than 5,000 animals and birds from all around the
world. The animals are grouped according to geographical origin. Come see
the marsupials and the popular Komodo Dragons in the Australasia area, and
other exotic beasts from the Americas, Eurasia, Indomalaya and here at
home. Many have large open exhibits in which to roam, so bring a camera.
The African Savanna of Kesho Park feature great natural habitat for the
zoo's African elephants, lions, cheetahs, river hippos and white rhinos.
Inquisitive children and adults can learn about the ecosystem of the
Amazon and about animals from all over the world. Observe animals in their
natural habitat or marvel at their playful antics. Treat yourself to
a day at the aquarium, the zoo, Parrot Jungle or Monkey Jungle-- just to
name a few.
